They were made by Merediths in Evanston, around 1958. The colorful artwork was embossed instead of silk screened and was on flat vinyl which was different from the puffy surface of the Levine designs. They were sometimes advertised in the late 1950s in Family Circle Magazine.These items are hard to find.

These were made during the late 1950s into early 1960s by the Debway Corporation of New York City. They were silk screened in five colors, usually on light blue or white. The designs are very whimsical. They were featured in the Sears Christmas Books in the 1959 and 1961 editions.

A.J. Siris started making items after his former employee Levine made them popular. His company separated the Ponytail to say Pony Tail by Siris. The items had girls on bikes or doing other physical activities.
